YOUR DEDICATED TEAM INCLUDES: A SURGEON, A RESTORATIVE DENTIST AND A CRNA

Meet Your Doctors in Baltimore

Although full mouth dental implants can be done by a general dentist, it doesn’t mean that’s your best option. At Nuvia in Baltimore, each patient has a dedicated team — an oral surgeon, a restorative dentist, and a licensed CRNA — that handles every case together, each person focused on their specific role. The surgeon places the implants, the implant dentist builds your permanent teeth and the CRNA manages anesthesia and keeps you safe.

This team has taken on cases that other providers turned away — advanced bone loss, prior failed implants, patients who went through consultations elsewhere and came back without answers. That’s the difference an expert team and years of experience can make.

Dr. Ryan Park, DMD

Dr. Ryan Park is the oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Nuvia Dental Implant Center in Baltimore, MD. He believes every patient’s care plan should be built around their needs, with the team guiding them through each step of the journey.

For Dr. Park, dentistry isn’t just about impacting a patient’s life. It’s about changing it. That mindset is what drew him to full arch implant care and continues to shape how he shows up for the people who come through the clinic.

Why Nuvia

Dr. Park describes Nuvia as a dream job for a surgeon. The team approach—general manager, dental technicians and lab, restorative dentist, CRNA, and surgical assistants—all work toward the same goal, with open communication driving patient safety and high quality outcomes. Having a strong restorative dentist and a CRNA in-house makes the procedure smoother, and the whole team creates a harmony that lets him focus on doing his best work for every patient.

He’s also drawn to Nuvia’s permanent teeth in 24 hours model. Many patients seeing providers elsewhere still go home with acrylic temporary dentures or other weaker materials that can crack and let them down. Dr. Park believes patients deserve more than that—they deserve a true transformation, and Nuvia has the technology and the team to deliver it in 24 hours.

Outside of the Office

Outside of work, Dr. Park is an avid golfer—golf is his heart. His nine-year-old son loves the game too, and weekends often mean heading out to play nine holes together. He’s also a big traveler, and the family takes advantage of any chance to book a trip and get away together.

Dr. Andrew Pak, DMD

Dr. Andrew Pak is a dedicated restorative dentist in Baltimore currently working with Nuvia Dental Implant Center. Following in the footsteps of his grandfather, Dr. Pak found that he could pursue science and art through a career in dentistry.

Dr. Pak's professional journey in dentistry began with a year of general practice, after which he shifted his focus to prosthetics as a restorative dentist. During this time, he experienced firsthand the limitations of acrylic prosthetics. At Nuvia, he has loved being able to provide patients with permanent teeth made from zirconia, a material known for its durability and strength.

What Dr. Pak loves most about working at Nuvia is the environment of passion and innovation it fosters, aligning perfectly with his own professional values. He looks forward to meeting patients and assisting them on their journey to rebuild their smiles. To all those considering taking next steps to change their smile and improve their life, Dr. Pak’s message is that Nuvia is a judgment-free environment where the whole team strives to help patients feel comfortable and reassured from the moment they step into the office. You're in caring and capable hands with Dr. Andrew Pak and the rest of the Nuvia Baltimore team.

Outside of the Office

When he isn’t working as a restorative dentist, Dr. Pak is a true hobbyist. Outside the office he can be found 3D printing and sculpting, pursuing photography, or doing yoga. He also loves spending time with his wife whether it be cooking, watching movies, or just hanging out.

A 99.1%* Full Arch Dental Implant
Success Rate

Which is a better environment for your implants to heal—a flexible “healing” denture that can break, or Nuvia’s permanent teeth that can withstand up to 520+ pounds of force*? We place your permanent teeth the day after surgery so your implants get the stable support they need while your body naturally heals.

What to Expect When Getting Dental Implants in Baltimore

Before your procedure, here’s exactly what to expect — and where Nuvia’s process is different from what most Baltimore-area providers offer:

Step 1 — Your Consultation

You meet with your Nuvia team, they take an image of your jaw, and you get the exact investment of your new smile. You’ll find out what treatment involves, and get answers to all of your questions. If you’ve been quoted elsewhere and left with vague numbers, this appointment will feel different.

Step 2 — Smile Design

Before surgery, you and the restorative dentist design what your new teeth will look like — size, shape, shade. It’s your smile and you have a say in how it turns out. The moment surgery wraps up, our in-house lab starts building them so they’re ready for you the next day.

Step 3 — Procedure Day

The CRNA puts you comfortably asleep so you don’t feel a thing while the surgeon works. Most patients say waking up is the part that surprises them most — it’s over, and they barely remember a thing. Many describe it as the best nap they’ve had in years.

Step 4 — Your Permanent Teeth, 24 Hours Later

You’ll return the next day and walk out with your final zirconia teeth, finished overnight in our in-house lab. Not a temporary acrylic set that you would likely get with traditional methods. Practices across Baltimore and the surrounding area that offer All-on-4® typically attach a temporary prosthetic after surgery and schedule final placement potentially up to 10+ months later. That wait doesn’t exist here at Nuvia.

Step 5 — Healing and What Comes Next

You’ll get to start on a soft food diet right away. Most patients report getting back to their normal routine within a few days. Your follow-up appointments at 2 weeks and 4 months track how the implants are integrating with the bone. Most patients get cleared for an unrestricted diet around the four-month mark.

Patients from Baltimore City, Towson, Bel Air, Ellicott City, Columbia, and Annapolis have gone through Nuvia’s Permanent Teeth in 24 Hours process, which carries a {{success_rate}} success rate — outperforming traditional methods, which studies report at 93.3% to 98%.

What Does Life Look Like a Year From Now?

Imagine a year from now – you've stopped planning your meals around your teeth, you enjoy taking photos for the first time in years, and you no longer pull back mid-laugh because some part of your brain is always tracking what's visible. Patients who restore their smile with All-on-4® dental implants talk about these moments all the time.

There's also a health side that gets overlooked. Failing teeth actively damage the jaw — bone loss accelerates without tooth roots, and chronic oral infection is linked to cardiovascular disease and diabetes. A year from now, that problem could be long solved. For a lot of patients, this is one of the most important health decisions they'll make.

How Do Dental Implants Compare to Dentures?

Dentures are often the first thing people try to fix missing teeth. And for a lot of patients in the Baltimore area, they become the thing that eventually sends them looking for a permanent solution. Patients often talk about how dentures never fit quite right. They can shift when you eat, they cover the roof of your mouth, and for many people they cause sores or gagging that never fully resolve.

Nightly removal, messy adhesives, and constant adjustments become the new normal for many denture patients — while the jawbone underneath continues to shrink, because dentures sit on top of bone rather than stimulating it the way a tooth root does.

A significant number of denture patients end up pursuing implants anyway, usually after years of frustration and compounding bone loss that makes the process more complicated than it would have been earlier. Dental implants are fixed in place, maintained like natural teeth, and don’t come out. Most patients who made the switch say the same thing: they wish they hadn’t waited.

Comfort

Sleep Comfortably in the Care of an Experienced Team

A licensed CRNA manages your anesthesia from start to finish. But they aren’t the only licensed anesthesia provider. Your surgeon,  who could technically do both anesthesia and surgery, is able to focus on the job at hand while your CRNA’s only job during your procedure is your safety and comfort. It’s not common for practices offering All-on-4® in the Baltimore area to staff a CRNA for every procedure at no additional cost to you. Nuvia does.

For patients who have been putting this off because of dental anxiety, this tends to be the detail that finally makes it feel possible.

FAQs About Nuvia Dental Implants in Baltimore

How much do full mouth dental implants cost in Baltimore?

Cost depends on your specific case — how many extractions are needed, your bone health, and what the final restoration involves. We’ve put together a free Full Mouth Dental Implant Cost and Information Guide that breaks down what affects pricing and how patients typically make treatment work financially. 92% of Nuvia patients use financing to make their new smile affordable.

What’s the difference between getting permanent teeth in 24 hours and standard All-on-4®?

The implant placement is the same. What’s different is what you go home with. Traditional dental implant providers — including several across Towson, Columbia, and the broader Baltimore area — attach a temporary prosthetic after surgery and schedule final teeth weeks or potentially months later. Because Nuvia operates an in-house lab at every location, your permanent zirconia teeth are built overnight and placed the following day. You leave with the real thing.

I’ve been told I don’t have enough bone. Does that rule me out?

Not necessarily. The All-on-4® technique angles implants specifically to maximize the bone that’s available, which means many patients who were told they needed bone grafting first — or were turned away outright — can still qualify. For more severe bone loss, zygomatic implants offer a path when traditional placement isn’t viable. A consultation with imaging is the only way to know what your treatment will look like. Start by taking the 60-second quiz.

Will I be put to sleep for the procedure?

Yes — general anesthesia, managed by a licensed CRNA for the entire procedure keeps you comfortably asleep. Patients who come in with significant dental anxiety tend to find this the most relieving part of the whole process.

Does dental insurance cover implants in Maryland?

Most insurance plans don’t cover full mouth implants, though some may cover extractions or portions of the procedure. But the truth is most people use financing to make treatment affordable. Nearly 92% of Nuvia patients finance their new teeth, and our team can walk you through your options during your consultation.

What does recovery actually look like?

The first few days involve some swelling and ice packs. You’ll also typically be on a soft food diet for around 4 months, think eggs, fish, pasta. Most patients are back to a normal daily routine within a week. The implants integrate with the jawbone over three to six months, but that’s happening in the background while you’re already living with permanent teeth. Most patients get cleared for an unrestricted diet around the four-month mark.
