Oral Surgeon Sulaiman Alshaar received his DMD degree at the University of Illinois Chicago College of Dentistry, then completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery internship at the University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital. He completed his surgical residency at Temple University Hospital, Cooper University Health System, and St. Christopher’s Pediatric Hospital, serving as a chief resident in his last year of training.
Dr. Alshaar is certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and the National Dental Board. He trained at two Level I trauma centers in full-scope oral and maxillofacial surgery. He is well versed in the techniques of full mouth reconstructions including pterygoid and zygomatic implants, bone grafting, soft tissue grafting, etc…
Dr. Alshaar has participated in research efforts ranging from clinical trials, evaluating innovative oral surgery techniques, to data mining for a cancer therapy study, which led to publication. New to Florida, he is enthusiastic about serving the Florida population. In his free time, Dr. Alshaarenjoys spending time with his family, traveling, reading, and swimming.
