Meet Your Doctors in Parsippany

When you're looking for an implant dentist in Parsippany, the team structure matters. At a solo practice, one person might be managing surgery, comfort, and your final result. At Nuvia, those are three separate jobs — held by three dedicated providers.

Every case gets an oral surgeon, an implant dentist, and a CRNA. The CRNA's only focus is your safety and comfort throughout the procedure. The oral surgeon handles precise placement. The restorative dentist builds permanent teeth designed to last. Nobody is splitting their attention across roles.

This team places implants every day across Morris County. That includes patients with bone loss and complex cases other practices have turned away.

Dr. Barry Teich, DDS

Dr. Barry Teich is a restorative dentist at Nuvia Dental Implant Center in Parsippany, New Jersey. Dentistry runs deep in his family — he is a fourth-generation dentist who grew up spending time in his grandmother's dental office, watching her and his father work.

Dr. Teich completed his undergraduate studies at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He earned his DDS from Touro College of Dental Medicine in Valhalla, New York, followed by an AEGD from the Eastman Institute for Oral Health at the University of Rochester.

After completing his training, he went into private practice where he refined his skills across a range of restorative procedures — including All-on-4® dental implants, where he gained experience both placing implants and restoring the final teeth.

Why Nuvia?

Dr. Teich's draw to full arch restorations led him to Nuvia. He wanted to focus on these procedures exclusively — and he wanted to do it at the highest level. Being able to provide patients with their set of permanent teeth in 24 hours alongside Nuvia's commitment to quality and patient outcomes made it the right place to do exactly that.

His goal with every patient is to be transparent about what to expect, prepare them well for the procedure, and deliver a smile that is both beautiful and functional. "I will not rest until this goal is achieved," he says.

Outside of the Office

Outside of work, Dr. Teich enjoys training in Jiu-Jitsu and martial arts, skiing in the winter, and spending his summers hiking and camping. He also enjoys cooking. At home, his favorite thing is time with his wife, their five-month-old daughter, and their three cats.

At Nuvia, Dr. Kim is dedicated to helping patients restore their ability to eat, smile, and enjoy life with their families.

Why Nuvia?

At Nuvia, Dr. Kim is able to get patients their new smiles in 24 hours. Traditional methods of getting dental implants is often a lengthy process that may take up to 10+ months to get a patient their permanent teeth.

Which Is More Comfortable: Dentures or Dental Implants?

The question may be simple, but the answer can have far reaching effects on how you live your life.

Dentures rest on your gums. They can shift when you eat and often require adhesives to stay in place. Most need overnight soaking, regular relining, and full replacement every seven to ten years. Add up the adhesives, adjustments, and replacements over a lifetime. For many patients, the total cost of dentures exceeds the one-time investment in implants.

Comfort isn't just about how dentures feel on day one. Without a root in place, the jawbone loses density. That changes facial structure over time. It also changes how dentures fit, potentially leading to extremely uncomfortable mouth sores, more adjustments and more cost. Implants stop bone loss because they replace the root.

When patients weigh dentures vs dental implants, it’s easy to just look at the initial cost. The truth is, denture costs can seriously add up while your implant cost is a fixed amount that you can finance. The same pattern holds true for comfort. Implant surgery means a one time recovery while dentures can come with daily friction, adhesives, sores, discomforts and adjustments don't have an end date.

FAQs About Nuvia Dental Implants in Parsippany

How is Nuvia's 24-hour process different from Teeth in a Day®? "Teeth in a Day®" typically means temporary teeth placed the same day as surgery, with permanent teeth coming weeks or months later. At Nuvia, the in-house lab starts building your permanent teeth the moment surgery ends. You return 24 hours later and leave with your permanent set — no temporary teeth at any point.

How much do full mouth dental implants cost in Parsippany, NJ? Cost varies depending on your case, and full mouth dental implants are a significant investment. Nuvia offers financing options, and the 24-hour process does not add to the cost — pricing is in line with industry standards. A consultation at the Parsippany center gives you a clear picture of what to expect for your situation.

Can I get dental implants if I have bone loss? Bone loss doesn't automatically disqualify you. The Nuvia Parsippany team regularly evaluates and treats patients with bone loss, including cases other practices have declined. Your eligibility is determined at your consultation, where the team reviews your jaw and full medical history.

Am I a candidate for All-on-4® dental implants? The quickest way to find out if you may be a candidate is the 60-second quiz on Nuvia's website — it takes less than a minute. A consultation with the Parsippany team gives you a complete picture, including a jaw scan and review of your health history. Many patients who assumed they weren't candidates find out they are.

Does dental insurance cover dental implants in New Jersey? Most dental insurance plans provide limited or no coverage for full mouth dental implants. Some medical insurance plans may cover portions depending on your circumstances but insurance likely isn’t an option for a lot of people. The Nuvia team can help you understand your options during your consultation.

What to Expect: Full Mouth Dental Implants at Nuvia in Parsippany

Some providers offer "Teeth in a Day" — temporary teeth on surgery day, permanent teeth months later. Nuvia's process delivers permanent teeth at the 24-hour mark. Here's how that works.

Your Consultation The Parsippany team reviews your oral health, scans your jaw, and walks you through your options. You'll leave knowing whether you're a candidate and exactly what your path forward looks like.

Surgery Day Your oral surgeon places the implants while a CRNA manages your safety and comfort. The moment surgery ends, Nuvia's in-house lab starts building your permanent teeth. They use a proprietary overnight process — not a shortcut, but the system Nuvia was built around.

Your Permanent Teeth — 24 Hours Later You return the next day. Your permanent teeth are ready. No temporary set, no months of waiting, no coming back for a second procedure.

Healing & Long-Term Care You leave on a soft-food diet and go from there. Many patients return to light daily activity within a few days. The Parsippany team monitors your healing and is available throughout your recovery so you can feel comfortable and supported.
