When you're staring down a decision as big as permanent dental implants, you don't want to settle. You want to feel sure that you’re getting something quality, lasting, and safe. So we went straight to the SML MKR community and asked: when it comes to a big dental decision, what information do you trust most?
648 votes came in. Here's what the data says — and more importantly, here's where you can find the resources that patients said played the biggest role in their decision.

1. Top Dental Implant Research Source: Real Patients Who've Been Through It — 44%
The majority of participants— nearly half — said they trust real patient stories above everything else.
That makes complete sense. A clinical explanation of the process tells you what happens. A real patient tells you what it feels like.
They can explain some of their nerves beforehand, what the recovery is like, or what they wish they would have known in retrospect. Having a little more information about the unknown can be a game-changer when making a decision.
Here's where you can hear what real patients loved and hated about their dental implant experience:
- Hear from Duncan
- Everything Ricky loved and hated about getting his new teeth
- What Chris wishes he knew before getting a new smile
- Patient’s 2 year review of his dental implants
- Reality TV star’s experience with Nuvia

- Watch more on Nuvia TV
- The SML MKR community → This is the whole reason this group exists is for real patients to ask questions, share experiences, and give advice.
- Nuvia’s Reddit community. Join r/NuviaDentalImplants on Reddit to read and ask questions from people who've already done this.
2. The Doctor or Clinical Expert — 17%
About 1 in 6 voters found the most helpful dental implant research to be on the clinical side. They want to understand the procedure itself — the biology, the timeline, why it works, what can go wrong, and what separates one provider from another.
If that's you, here's where to go:
- Dr. Annoni on Permanent Teeth in 24 Hours
- You can also read Dr. Annoni’s articles here.
- Dr. Albert Park

3. Friends or Family Who've Had It Done — 15%
There's something about hearing it from someone you already know and trust. Just getting to hear an honest, "here's what it was like for me."
Not everyone has that in their circle — but you can find the next best thing:
- The SML MKR community is full of people who will answer your questions as if you're a friend.
- Other patient case studies
- Read Jeanie's one-year honest breakdown here.
- Duncan’s case study
- Pedro’s Travel story
- Darcie’s fears and regrets
4. My Own Dental Implant Research — 13%
Some people need to go deep into their own research before they feel ready. They want to read everything - both the good and the bad, understand every angle, and come to their own conclusion.
- The cost guide → You can get the free dental implant cost guide here. It gives you a realistic look at what full arch implants cost and how most patients pay for them.

5. Reviews and Comments From Strangers Online — 8%
Strangers with nothing to gain can give you a good idea of what to expect. There are a few places you can find the {{reviews}} of Nuvia reviews online.
- Google Reviews → Search "Nuvia Dental Implant Center" to see location-specific reviews.
- BBB → Nuvia holds an A+ rating. Check it out here.
- Nuvia Dental Reviews → This site was built specifically to surface honest patient feedback in one place. Read them here.
6. AI — 2%
Only 11 voters said they trust AI most — but that doesn't mean it's not a useful starting point for getting oriented before you do deeper research.
If you want to ask AI about Nuvia or full arch dental implants, here's one way to get started:
Just remember: AI can explain the process, but it can't tell you whether you qualify. That part requires a real evaluation.
You can see if you may qualify with the 60-second quiz here.
The One Thing All 648 Voters Have in Common
Everyone in this poll did some sort of dental implant research to figure out if this procedure was right for them. They did research, asked questions, watched videos, and read reviews.
But at some point, research stops answering questions and starts repeating them. The only way to know if you're actually a candidate is to find out.
The 60-second quiz takes less than a minute and gives you a real starting point on whether or not you may be eligible for permanent teeth in 24 hours.
