Dr. Nathan Baxter, DDS

Dr. Richey is a restorative dentist at Nuvia’s Salt Lake City location. From a young age, Dr. Richey spent time in the dental chair and later developed a desire to help transform lives through dentistry.

Dr. Richey's goal is straightforward: help you regain your smile so you can confidently engage in society and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

He brings a wealth of experience to ensure that your dental work is done right, allowing you to chew, smile, and live without embarrassment or discomfort caused by your teeth.

Outside of transforming smiles, His creative spirit shines through his musical talents; he plays the piano, guitar, and harmonica, even composing his own music. Dr. Richey embodies the essence of a well-rounded individual, passionate about both his professional and personal life.

Dr. Richey always strives to be up to date with the newest dental technology. His goal to work on the forefront of dentistry and to work with those with significant experience is what led him to begin working with Nuvia.

He loves that he is able to be part of offering patients their permanent teeth in 24 hours from their dental implant procedure.

Outside of the Office

When he isn’t at the office, Dr. Richey is a family man who cherishes time at home and the great outdoors. He loves biking, running, swimming, and hiking in Utah's stunning mountains.

He also loves music and composing his own. As a musician himself, he plays the piano, guitar, and harmonica.

‍

Dr. Saiz was first drawn to the field of dentistry in high school. His mother was working as an office manager for a local dentistry at the time and shared how every day she saw this dentist make a difference in their patient’s lives. 

‍

From then on, Dr. Saiz knew he wanted to do the same thing. He received his undergraduate in Biology at University of Nevada Las Vegas and then completed dental school in Las Vegas. 

‍

His original plan was to go into general dentistry but he soon found that with oral & maxillofacial surgery, he would have a wide scope of different treatment to help patients and decided to pursue that route.

‍

Following his schooling, he completed a surgical internship in Chicago County and his formal Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residency in Detroit.

Why Nuvia

Dr. Saiz first discovered Nuvia through colleagues of his that had joined Nuvia in order to give patients an elevated experience. After hearing how patients were getting their permanent teeth in 24 hours, he knew he had to be part of the Nuvia team in Denver.

At Nuvia Dr. Saiz is able to provide a completely different patient experience with permanent teeth in 24 hours. The traditional way of doing dental implants typically involves patients wearing a temporary acrylic denture for what could be months before getting their final teeth.

Now, Dr. Saiz’ patients don’t have to wait for months to get their smiles. They can get them 24 hours after the dental implant procedure.

Outside of the Clinic

When he isn’t working as an oral & maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Saiz enjoys spending time with his wife traveling, hiking, and riding bikes. They are also both training to be wine sommeliers.

Meet Dr. Baxter, a dedicated oral & maxillofacial surgeon at Nuvia Dental Implant Center in Salt Lake City, UT and Denver, CO. His journey into oral surgery began during his pre-med undergraduate studies when a guest speaker, who was an oral surgeon, sparked his interest in the field. That moment shaped his career path, leading him to what he does now, providing life-changing smiles and second chances to his patients.

Having been a patient himself, Dr. Baxter understands the importance of a positive experience and is committed to providing just that. His joy in watching the transformative power of a new smile is second only to the happiness he finds in his family life.

Outside of the Office

When not in the office, Dr. Baxter is a loving dad who enjoys cooking and BBQing, spending time on the water boating, traveling to new places, and loves movies and music.
