Born and raised in Las Vegas, Dr. Alex Isom is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with more than 12 years of experience in the dental field.

He graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2006 after which he completed a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Isom married his wife, Heather, in 2003 and they now live in Salt Lake City with their children.

After years placing dental implants, Dr. Isom was thrilled to join the Nuvia team in 2022 and provide permanent teeth in 24 hours.

Dr. Kirk Simmonds grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. After receiving his undergraduate degree from Weber State University, Dr. Simmonds attended the University of Louisville school of Dentistry in Kentucky.

He then went on to a formal General Practice Residency at the University of Utah program where he received training in surgery, dental implants, and restoring complex dental implant cases. He currently lives in Salt Lake City, Utah where he practices at Nuvia Dental Implant Center providing full mouth dental implants to patients.

Dr. Preston Hansen, Nuvia Dental Implant Center’s Chief Clinical Officer, is dedicated to innovation and excellence when it comes to dental implants. Dr Hansen grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah around many relatives who were involved in health sciences and related fields. When it came to choosing a career path, he found that his calling was in dentistry and oral surgery, specifically as a dental implant surgeon. After receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Utah, Dr. Hansen attended the prestigious University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco.

He then went on to a formal 4 year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency program at UCSF Fresno where he received some of the most rigorous surgical training available for dentists. He received extensive training in reconstruction and reconstructive surgeries that made the transition to complex dental implants an easier next step. Dr. Hansen is well versed in oral surgeries for trauma reconstruction, pathology, zygomatic and pterygoid implants.

As a dental implant surgeon, Dr. Hansen is highly motivated by the opportunities he has to treat patients and help change their lives for the better through dental implants. In a recent interview, he shared, “You know, building a smile is pretty impactful in human beings”. He continued to explain the subsequent changes in people’s lives after they received dental implants and just how powerful a new smile can be for helping others improve their lives.

Away from the clinic, Dr. Hansen is a family man at heart, finding joy and inspiration in his role as a father. His personal experiences as a parent have further deepened his understanding of the importance of health and well-being, fueling his motivation to make a positive impact in his patients' lives.

He is currently the Clinical Director of Nuvia, ensuring that each of Nuvia's surgeons are provided with adequate training on the full mouth dental implant placement process of delivering permanent teeth in 24 hours.

Meet Dr. Osinusi, a passionate dentist committed to changing lives at our Nashville location. A true local, Dr. Osinusi attended high school and college right here in Nashville. After obtaining a master's degree from Barry University in South Florida, he returned to the Volunteer State for dental school at the University of Tennessee. His education was further enriched with an advanced year of general dentistry training at both the university and St. Thomas Hospital at Matthew Walker in Nashville.

At the core of his practice is a simple promise: to treat each patient as he would a family member. Dr. Osinusi chose dentistry because it uniquely allows him to make immediate, impactful changes in people's lives, aligning perfectly with his devotion to healthcare.

Personal Life

Outside the clinic, Dr. Osinusi is a soccer enthusiast—more of a spectator these days—and is deeply involved in his church community. He loves spending time with his young family and playing drums. With his blend of expert training and compassionate care, Dr. Osinusi is eager to be a part of your transformative dental journey with dental implants.

Dr. Barrett Beardsley was born and raised in Southern California. He earned his undergraduate degree in business at Brigham Young University. He then attended dental school at the University of Southern California, after which he became an active-duty officer in the US Army.

While stationed in San Antonio, Dr. Beardsley completed a four-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Brooke Army Medical Center. His service in the Army has brought him and his family to Seattle, the Mojave Desert and finally back to San Antonio, the city they consider home.

He is married with four children who love being Texans. He enjoys golf, surfing (it is possible in the gulf) and camping with his family. As a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery he is prepared to meet all the dental implant surgical needs our San Antonio patients might have.
