Meet Dr. Kenneth Wong, one of Nuvia’s experienced oral & maxillofacial surgeons at the Sacramento, CA clinic.

About
Dr. Kenneth Wong is the oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Nuvia Dental Implant Center in Sacramento, CA. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Davis, earned his dental degree from the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, and finished his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Highland General Hospital in Alameda County. He has been practicing dentistry for 26 years, including time at Kaiser Permanente and in his own private practice before transitioning into full arch dentistry.
Dr. Wong originally planned to become an orthopedic surgeon. After a family friend suggested he’d make a great dentist, he spent a day shadowing in the office and never looked back—drawn to the variety of work and the difference it made for patients.
Dr. Wong was introduced to Nuvia by a fellow surgeon who described how the team and the process were different here. After learning more, he wanted to be part of it.
He’s especially drawn to Nuvia’s permanent teeth in 24 hours process. The zirconia teeth provide aesthetics and added stability for the implants compared to traditional immediate restorations. For Dr. Wong, seeing patients’ reactions when their new smile is complete is what makes his work so impactful.
Outside of work, Dr. Wong stays active with weightlifting and cooking. He’s also a pilot—he’s been flying for about three years and enjoys the quiet, serene feeling of being in the air as a way to unwind.

Our doctors are not just experts; they are visionaries in the field of dental implantology. With decades of surgical and restorative experience, and a passion for pioneering research, they are at the forefront of innovation.
Dr. Go Eun Kim is the restorative dentist at Nuvia Dental Implant Center in Sacramento, CA. She graduated from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 2012 and completed three years of prosthodontics training focused on aesthetic and implant dentistry. Since 2019, her work has primarily focused on full arch restorations.
For Dr. Kim, dentistry is a combination of art and science. She’s drawn to the materials and technology that make modern restorations possible and considers it a privilege to help patients smile with confidence.
Dr. Kim was drawn to Nuvia for its innovation and positive culture. Rather than staying comfortable with what’s already known, Nuvia is focused on continuously improving and raising the standard of care—driven by a strong desire to help patients and supported by advanced technology.
She also values Nuvia’s permanent teeth in 24 hours model. With traditional methods, patients often wear bulky acrylic temporaries that can stain or break while they wait. At Nuvia, that intermediate phase is skipped entirely. Patients receive a zirconia prosthesis in 24 hours after surgery—a solution Dr. Kim sees as more aesthetic, more durable, and more comfortable for the people she treats.
Outside of work, Dr. Kim is a mom to two young boys. The family loves staying curious and exploring the outdoors together, whether it’s a mountain hike or a relaxing day at the beach. She’s also a lifelong learner—most recently taking swim lessons alongside her kids.
Dr. Lani Lim is the restorative dentist at Nuvia Dental Implant Center in Sacramento, CA. She earned her dental degree from the University of New England in Maine and completed her prosthodontics residency at Texas A&M in Dallas. She has been practicing since 2019, with a focus on smile design and full mouth restorations.
Dr. Lim was drawn to dentistry as a way to bring together two of her lifelong loves: working with her hands and science. Her own childhood dentist encouraged her to consider the field, and after shadowing him and spending a summer as his dental assistant, she was hooked.
Dr. Lim joined Nuvia because of its culture and its focus on patient care and teamwork. Friends already on the team described an environment that prioritized people first, and she wanted to be part of an organization built that way.
She’s also appreciates the permanent teeth in 24 hours approach. Patients receive their final prosthesis the day after surgery—a zirconia restoration that helps stabilize the implants during healing. Compared with acrylic temporaries that can stain or break, Dr. Lim sees the Nuvia approach as a more durable, more beautiful option for the people she treats.
Outside of work, Dr. Lim is a traveler, a cook, and a musician. Born in Korea and raised across Australia and Pennsylvania, she has visited 36 states and 16 countries, with a goal of reaching all seven continents. She’s been a vegetarian for 16 years and loves cooking dishes like eggplant parmesan, cauliflower wings, and tofu. She has played the cello since age nine and holds a minor in music performance. When she’s not in the kitchen or on stage, she’s usually outside hiking.
