He grew up in the Bay Area and has always loved working with his hands. As a kid, he played guitar and piano and even toured in a metal band. Dr. Christensen Hsu is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Nuvia Dental Implant Center in Fresno, CA. She graduated from New York University College of Dentistry in 1997 and completed her oral and maxillofacial surgery training in the U.S. Army, where she went on to serve more than 20 years on active duty caring for service members.

Dr. Hsu grew up as a Navy family kid, mostly in San Diego, and was exposed to healthcare early through her father, who served as a hospital corpsman in the Navy. That upbringing shaped her interest in patient care and led her to a career where she could make a meaningful difference in people’s quality of life.
