Rod is a modern day hero, especially to the Las Vegas community and the country that he served.
Nuvia, in an effort to give back to Rod a small amount of what he has done for others, donated a set of full mouth dental implants absolutely free of charge.
A lot of people wonder what dental implants cost. So we have prepared a “Dental Implant Cost and Information Guide” to anyone looking for answers!
Rod served in 3 different branches of the military. During one of his tours, riding in an operation, his vehicle was hit with an explosion and he slammed his face into the metal door, knocking his teeth out in the process.
Rod has been missing teeth for a very long time. And he knew that he wanted a permanent solution.
Lesley, another dental implant patient, spent some time getting to know Rod before his big day. She asked him a few questions like, what he is looking forward to doing with his new full mouth dental implants and if he was nervous.
What do you think you would say if it were you who was getting a brand new set of teeth?
Well, for Rod, what he was looking forward to most was being able to finally eat again without his dentures getting in the way. He constantly worried about his dentures falling out as he was eating and it really put a toll on his life.
But Rod wasn’t alone. In fact, an estimated 41 million people are struggling with partial and full dentures every day. The sad news is that very few of them know there is another option out there for them but there is a way to get a fixed set of permanent teeth restored in their mouth eliminating the need for dentures all together.
Between the missing teeth and uncomfortable dentures, Rod really struggled to eat his food.
At Nuvia, we have seen firsthand what getting permanent teeth can do for a person’s life. And the positive effect it plays in someone’s life, inspires us to keep going. We hope you enjoy watching the transformation as much as we do. And if you, or someone you know, can benefit from this life changing experience, please invite them to meet with us so we can help you and help them get their life back. The best life they can live.
April, the general manager at Nuvia Dental Implant Center in Las Vegas shared that she, too, is a veteran and is honored and humbled to have had the opportunity to help a fellow veteran get his smile and confidence back.
As Rod came to the center on the morning of his surgery, he was welcomed by the clinical team and taken back to his surgical suite by one of the dental assistants.
Rod was given some medication to help him relax and then was comfortably sedated by our anesthesia provider with safe general anesthesia. Dr. Isom, Rod’s surgeon, explained that we intubated him through the nose. This allowed for maximum access to his mouth during the procedure.
Throughout the procedure, Rod had his remaining teeth removed and his new dental implants placed.
Once the procedure was finished, Dr. Isom explained that the procedure went very smoothly with no complications. The restorative doctor and team started taking a few scans in the mouth to be able to begin the creation of his new teeth.
Each Nuvia center has it’s own lab that is dedicated to the success of that center’s patients. By having a dedicated lab at Nuvia, you can rest assured knowing that you will recieve maximum attention to detail and receive your teeth overnight.
Rod came back to Nuvia the very next day and saw his smile for the very first time. What you will see is a touching moment that our team shared with Rod that motivates us to continue to serve our communities to help people like him, to help people like you.
Our passion is to give people a second chance at life. We want to help people who struggle with missing teeth, periodontal disease, dentures or any other dental problems, and give them a brand new smile. We know that a smile is a lot more than just a smile. It’s a way of expressing yourself and can be a very vulnerable exchange to share with others.
