“I just want to look like me again”

The Ultimate Guide to Full Mouth Dental Implants

3 years ago, Redonna, a natural southern beauty, had a vertebra and 2 discs removed from her neck. It caused nerve damage that eventually took most of her upper teeth.

Redonna struggled wearing temps in her mouth since then and couldn’t deal with them for another second longer! She was tired of making excuses for her missing teeth and needed to make a change FAST.

In hopes of fixing her dental problems, she went to another dental implant provider to inquire about getting full mouth dental implants. She described her experience with them as being “very rough” and she did not want to go back.

She had enough poor experiences at the dentist that she knew she couldn’t endure it again. Then she found Nuvia. Once meeting the team in Atlanta, GA she knew she found the permanent dental implant center for her. She finally found somewhere that would be kind and gentle to help ease her dental anxiety.

Dentophobia is real. The fear of going to the dentist is more common than you might think. In fact, according to the Cleveland Clinic, 36% of people fear going to the dentist.

But don’t worry! if you happen to fall into this category, at Nuvia we will do everything we can to help put your fears are at ease. We understand that most people who visit the dentist would rather be anywhere else. So you can expect that we will approach everything differently to change your mind about going to the dentist.

For example, there is no invasive exam, no scary tools, and absolutely no treatment while you are awake. The first consultation with us you don’t even sit in an uncomfortable dental chair! Instead, after getting to know you and some of your reasons for wanting dental implants, we take a non-invasive ct scan of your teeth (nothing goes in your mouth) and your surgeon goes over the results to see what treatment plan would be best for you.

And when you decide to get full mouth dental implants at Nuvia, you will be sedated under general anesthesia by a licensed anesthesia provider and the whole procedure will be done when you are asleep.

If that doesn’t ease all of your fears, you can also take solace in the fact that our team at Nuvia only does one procedure. Permanent teeth in 24-Hours. That’s it. We do the same thing over and over and know the entire procedure like the back of our hand. This is not our first rodeo. It isn’t even our thousandth rodeo…

We like what we do and we do it well

Now, back to Redonna’s story…

Just before her surgery, she told us, “This is going to be life-changing, I know it. I’m going to smile, smile, smile, and I’m not going to look back. My whole world is going to open up and I know it!”

As Redonna’s surgery day approached, she spent some time with the team to design her smile.

Did you know that every patient at Nuvia gets to design their own smile? There are 3 shapes to choose from and a variety of shades to customize your smile.

Now, Redonna only needed her upper arch replaced because her lower teeth were still in good shape. We never want to remove healthy teeth if it can be avoided. In some cases, to keep as many healthy teeth in the mouth as possible, we only recommend doing one arch. By doing one arch, this can save your natural teeth on the other arch.

The next day after her surgery, Redonna returned to get her permanent teeth. When she finally saw her new teeth, she couldn’t take her eyes off them! She had to see them from every angle. Redonna expressed how much she loved her new smile and how excited she was to have her pearly whites back!

2 weeks after her surgery, she expressed that she was so happy with her new teeth and that she really needed dental implants in her life.

According to Redonna, “it can only go up from here!” And we couldn’t be happier for her!
