Understanding Dental Implants:

Dental implants are a rapidly growing way to replace missing teeth. For people who have missing teeth, dental problems, or haven’t been able to smile or chew their food, dental implants are restoring smiles and quality of lives throughout the world.

There are a few different types of dental implants out there including single dental implants, bridge dental implants, and full mouth dental implants.

Types of dental implants

A single dental implant is a small screw that is surgically placed into the jawbone. This will replace one single tooth in the mouth.

A dental implant bridge is for a space in the mouth that has multiple missing teeth in a row. The implant bridge will typically replace 3 or more teeth in a row with 2 dental implants on either end and a bridge called a ‘pontic’ in the middle, also known as the bridge tooth.

Now, if you're missing some or all of your teeth, you might need something called full mouth dental implants. This is when we use about 4-6 dental implants on the arch and attach a whole set of new teeth to the implants. It's like getting a brand new set of teeth all at once!

Full mouth dental implants

These new teeth can help you eat, talk, and smile just like you would with natural teeth. And the best part? They look and feel just like real teeth!

Cost and Financing Options:

Understanding the cost of dental implants is an important part of your decision-making process. While the total cost might seem significant, it's helpful to break it down into more manageable terms. Think of it as an investment in your health and confidence, spread over time. For instance, when you consider the cost on a monthly basis, it becomes comparable to a car payment or a monthly subscription service. The exact monthly cost can vary, read our Dental Implant Cost and Information Guide for more Info.

before and after

Success Stories:

At Nuvia, we've had the privilege of transforming many smiles, and each one has a unique story behind it. One such story is that of Steven, who traveled all the way from Virginia to our Denver location.

Steven, who lives in Virginia, made the decision to travel over 1,600 miles to our Denver location for his dental implant procedure at Nuvia Dental Implant Center. His story is not only about overcoming a physical challenge but also about the emotional transformation that accompanies it.

Steven’s dental journey began at the age of 39 when he discovered that he had been grinding his teeth in his sleep, a condition known as bruxism. Over the years, the continual grinding had severely worn down his teeth and enamel, leading to extreme sensitivity to hot and cold foods, along with a significant compromise in his ability to chew food properly.

Pain drove Steven to an extreme point — when he attempted to pull out his own teeth with pliers. It was clear that he required professional dental help. This is when he found his way to Nuvia Dental Implant Center.

Our team was able to identify the severity of Steven's dental condition. His remaining teeth were not serving their purpose effectively due to severe attrition. Attrition refers to the natural wear and tear of teeth over time. In Steven's case, his condition of bruxism or teeth grinding had accelerated this process, causing significant wear and damage to his teeth.

Understanding this, we decided that his remaining teeth, which were no longer serving their intended function, needed to be removed to pave the way for a more effective solution: full mouth dental implants.

A dental implant procedure involves placing artificial tooth roots into the jawbone, which provide a sturdy base to hold the replacement teeth. For Steven, Dr. Choi placed six implants each on both the top and bottom sets of teeth giving him a firm foundation for his brand new teeth.
