Lighting Up the Future of Leadership: Nuvia Dental Implant Center's First Center Training Leadership Summit

The Nuvia team at a leadership training

We're thrilled to share highlights from Nuvia Dental Implant Center's very first Center Training Leadership Summit held earlier this month in vibrant Las Vegas, Nevada! This event brought together our exceptional center leaders and doctors for an unforgettable experience of learning and growth.

The summit was a significant milestone for Nuvia, designed to cultivate leadership skills, foster collaboration, and inspire our team to reach new heights in dental implant excellence. With an agenda packed with insightful sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities, the event was a tremendous success, setting the stage for future leadership initiatives.

A Team Effort

The event was a collective effort, with each member contributing their experience to ensure its success. Our Training Operations Coordinator, Trisha VanOostendorp and Senior Training Manager, Marisol Sarmiento handled travel logistics, booking over 300 flights for attendees. Onboarding Manager, Melissa Schultz coordinated catering and the awards gala, ensuring everyone was well-fed and the gala was memorable. Executive Assistant, Kylee Worthen, our "Swag Sorceress," provided custom poker chips, pens, notebooks, tote bags, and Patagonia fleeces for all attendees. Director of People Experience, Jesse Tervooren, CPTD, coordinated everything behind the scenes, demonstrating exceptional leadership and support.

Sara Tinnick, our Content Development Manager, shared her thoughts on the summit: "It didn’t hit me until today, when looking at the amazing photobooth photos. My logo is in the corner of every single printed and digital photo. My work was on full color badges and on large scale signage. Sure, I’ve done work for events before - but not like this. While it was a team effort, final decisions were always left to me. I was trusted. And it was terrifying and exhilarating all at the same time."

Sara's vision and dedication played a crucial role in bringing the summit to life. "When creativity is fostered, not stifled, you are able to create amazing things. From slide decks to digital programs, centerpieces to tee shirts, we had a whole, comprehensive look that came together beautifully. I worked so hard: 12-16 hour days for 3 weeks and at least 6 hours on weekends. And it was worth it."

We were also honored to have Benjamin Hardy, PhD, as our keynote speaker. His insights and impactful presentation left a lasting impression on all attendees, inspiring them to embrace leadership with renewed vigor.

A special shout-out goes to Pete Rooks, Director of Training Operations, who organized and coordinated everything behind the scenes. Pete played a crucial role in the planning process, keeping the team on track, leading the way and ensuring the event was a resounding success.

A Proud Moment

Reflecting on the summit, Sara said, "I am very, very proud and I am grateful that the company let the Training Team prove what we can do. We are small but mighty."

Our CEO, Alex Swanson, expressed his delight with the event's outcome, acknowledging the hard work and creativity of the team. The Center Training Leadership Summit was not just an event; it was a celebration of our team's dedication, creativity, and commitment to excellence. We are excited about the future and look forward to more opportunities to grow and lead together.

A heartfelt thanks to Alex Swanson, Sara Tinnick, Marisol Sarmiento, Melissa Schultz, Kylee Worthen, Jesse Tervooren, CPTD, our inspiring keynote speaker Benjamin Hardy, PhD, Pete Rooks, the dedicated training team, and everyone who made this event a success.
